Garland and Gary Graham began fostering golden retrievers through Triad Golden Retriever Rescue (www.tgrr.org) in 2000 due to their love of their golden retriever named Rodney (a/k/a “the Red Dog”). Soon enough other dogs and cats began to find their way to Red Dog Farm. Once the barn was finished, larger animals in need began to move in. In 2006, after privately fostering over 50 animals, Garland and Gary decided to start a nonprofit rescue network to allow others to foster and donate. Red Dog Farm Animal Rescue Network is a 501(c)(3) public charity based in Summerfield, North Carolina dedicated to the rehabilitation, fostering and adoption of animals of all sizes.  The animals of Red Dog Farm's Animal Rescue Network are now housed in private foster homes all over Guilford and Rockingham Counties.  We don't have a "facility" - all of the animals on this website are being housed by volunteer foster families.

Foster homes needed! 

We are in desperate need of foster homes for mother dogs with puppies, dogs in general and horses.  In the spring we will likely need foster homes for kittens.  Please complete the application on the "How Can I Help?" page and read about fostering - it is a wonderful gift to animals in need!
